To determine if your case is treatable with Invisalign, our Edmonton dentists will complete a thorough assessment of your teeth, gums, jaw and bite.
What cases can be treated with Invisalign?
Invisalign can treat a number of misalignment and malocclusion issues.
The Invisalign Assessment Process
Medical History Review & Oral Exam
Your dentist will begin your assessment by reviewing your complete medical and dental history and records. Next, they will conduct a comprehensive oral exam to see if there are any issues that were not apparent in your dental records.
The oral exam will include:
- A physical exam of your teeth and gums
- Digital dental impressions
- X-ray imaging
Treatment Planning & Getting Started
Based on your medical and dental history and oral exam, your dentist will be able to tell you if Invisalign is the right orthodontic treatment option for you.
If you determine you are a candidate for Invisalign, you and your dentist will discuss the details of your treatment plan, including your role during the process and the expected duration of your treatment. Your dentist will also answer any questions you may have.
